Easter celebrations

This year Easter was a special time for me. There were two things on my mind constantly as we celebrated this special day. I was so grateful to watch Kyson run around playing with cousins and being a normal, happy boy after spending last Easter in the hospital. I was also so grateful to have Brooklyn a part of our family this Easter. She has brought a lot of joy to our family. The week before Easter we all caught a nasty flu bug and were quite sick. Thankfully by Saturday we were all healthy again so we were able to enjoy all of the Easter activities we had planned. Saturday afternoon we headed out to Queen Creek to my Grandma's house. As I have mentioned before my boys love it there. I love it too because they just run around and play with cousins the whole time and never get bored! It's great! Here are the kids all full of anticipation for the Easter egg hunt.
Ready. Set. GO!!!!!

After the Easter egg hunt we enjoyed a yummy dinner and visited with family for a while. All too soon it was late and time to get home to get some rest. We all had a busy day and were exhausted from so much fun. The next day we dressed up in our Sunday best to go to church. After church I attemped to get pictures of my three kiddos...
I love each of these faces! It makes me happy to have three of my greatest blessings in one picture!

A week later we got to enjoy getting together with Jared's side of the family. After dinner Grandma and Grandpa put up a pinata for the kids. I know they all enjoyed it and it was fun to watch them. Gratefully no one got hurt (I admit to being a little worried when Caleb and Kyson were swinging the bat! I had visions of Kyson letting go mid swing...)

This picture just cracked me up! Jenna hit the pinata and part of it went flying.

And here is the oldest cousin demolishing the pinata.

My boys knew exactly what to do once it broke open. Caleb ran and made a huge pile of candy right in front of him and protected it until Grandma gave him a bad to put it in:)

Gotta love the "mischievous" grin and the overflowing bag of candy. Oh, and the Ho, ho, ho shirt...wait you mean it's Easter and not Christmas time?(he dresses himself these days:)

Showing Grandpa the goods...

Wearing part of the pinata.

What a fun time we all had! Looking at all these pictures just reminds me of how incredibly blessed we are. Surrounded by wonderful family friends and blessed beyond measure!
