One week...

This has been one week I will never forget! This morning Kyson was doing well enough that they decided to take his ventilator out. He is now breathing all on his own which is a very good sign. He has had a rough morning and I am so glad they are letting him get some rest now. They took one of his chest tubes out, took the ventilator out of his nose, and tried to give him an IV. My heart was aching watching all of this. I was actually doing pretty good until the third time they poked him trying to get an IV in. I finally had to just walk away. He has been through so much this week, I wish I could take away his pain.

He is looking peaceful now which is a relief. My nurse said she was going to let him rest for a few hours and she will let me hold him this afternoon.

Andrea, I'm so excited that you will get to hold your little boy and that he is doing so good. You are so strong and I look up to you so much. I had an ultra sound today and I made them check Kambry's heart more than once to make sure everything is ok. You're still in our prayers. Call me if you just want to talk. I'm hear for you no matter what! Love ya!

How absolutely wonderful, Andrea! He looks so good and by the sounds of it he will be able to come home in no time. We are so glad to hear of the huge strides he is making. Prayers are powerful and miracles happen every day. Thanks for the update.

Oh what great news! I am so glad all those obstructive (though lifesaving) tubes are free and clear and you can see his sweet face. I am so happy you get to cuddle him. Enjoy!

Thanks for the update. We had mutual at the townhouse pool last night and the girls were asking how you all are doing. Kyson is looking GREAT. Linda goes to the Humanitarian center every Wednesday and came home with a huge bag full of blankets for you. I would bring them out but Ryan is sick and I don't think I have it but I don't want to take the chance. Is their anyone at your house? E-mail me and let me know other wise I will hold off for a few days to make sure that I don't get sick to. How is Caleb doing? Your are in our prayers. We love the updates.
