This last week has been so much fun as I have watched our little man on the move! He used to just sit and play for quite a while in one spot. He was very content. Not anymore! You sit him down and he is off!
Last Friday afternoon I took the boys out to the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show with some of their cousins and Grandma. We had a good time together! Best of all it was free that day! Here are some of their cute cousins with some of the horses.

Taryn and Aunt Wendy

Jenna
And yes I did try to take a picture of my kiddos but as I was backing up to take the picture the horse reached out and grabbed the handle of our stroller and pulled it towards him. All of the kids were laughing but poor Caleb got really freaked out! He liked the horses, but only from a distace. Here is the picture I took of them shortly after. You can tell Caleb is very worried. Then there's Kyson just kickin' back and enjoying the ride.
Last of all I just wanted to add this picture because this little man is just too cute! We don't get to see him enough since he lives in California but we sure had fun with him while he was here.

i love photoshop
I was bummed that Kyson wasn't looking at the camera in this picture so last night Jared took his head out of a different picture and put it into this one. Now I just LOVE it! Isn't photoshop amazing? I have so much to learn still because you can do so much with it, but it is awesome!
All I can say is I'm one lucky person to have these boys in my life.

A Valentine's Day Treat
On Valentine's Day our dear Kyson turned 11 months old. We had a fun Valentine's Day as we spent the day together as a family. We had a yummy breakfast of pink buttermilk heart pancakes, cleaned house together, took the kids to the park to play, took naps, did a little shopping, and ended the night eating pizza together. Once we got Caleb in bed I kept Kyson up for a little while just to play with him. It was so fun as I ended up getting a very special little treat from him. He started crawling!!! He's been so close for a few weeks now but just hadn't figured out how to move forward until that night. I was thrilled. I videotaped it and wanted to show you all how very cute he is but I can't get it to work. Maybe I'll figure it out and show you later.
I am also very grateful to be able to say that he is eating solid foods much better these days. It was such a struggle for a while and it taught me a lot of patience but now we are getting at least two feedings of solid foods a day now.
Having Kyson reach these milestones is such a HUGE blessing! I know he is 11 months old and many babies are walking by now but for him it is a huge accomplishment. I just want to shout for joy. He did it, my sweet Kyson did it! He is growing and developing and I love watching it all happen.
Here are a few pictures from our time together that day. Enjoy!
Kyson was so cute as he had this permanent smile on his face the entire time we were there.

Cabin fever
Last weekend we had the privilege of riding with Jared's parents up to their cabin in Pinetop. Caleb was so excited to go so he could play with this:
The whole way there he kept asking about the trains. He couldn't wait to play with them!
We had an enjoyable time although Kyson got quite sick from teething while we were there. We had lots of yummy food, thanks to Jared's Mom, and enjoyed watching movies and playing with our kiddos. Sunday morning we also had a special treat. It started snowing really hard and it was BEAUTIFUL outside! Here are some pictures to prove it!
Jared's Mom loves to feed the birds and squirrels while we are there and it is fun to watch them come and eat.
Like I mentioned before this little man:
had a bit of a rough time while we were there. Our first night there, Friday night, he woke up so many times in the night I couldn't figure out what was wrong. In the morning I felt his gums and sure enough tooth #3 had finally poked its way through. Then Saturday he started getting a fever and I could tell he wasn't feeling very good. Of course I could still get him to smile, this little man is always full of smiles!
Saturday night was even worse then Friday night and I pretty much held him all night. We drove home Sunday and I debated taking him to urgent care that night. I ended up deciding to wait until Monday so I could take him to see his regular pediatrician who already knows all of Kyson's story. Sunday night his fever was almost 103 and I was quite worried. When we finally made it to the doctor they found that he had bad ear infections in both ears and a throat full of puss...poor little man!!! We got him started on an antibiotic and he is back to his happy little self again. Now I'm just worried that he is going to go through this with every little tooth he gets!
