Last week the weather was starting to cool off (of course this weekend it had to go back up to like 105 again:(! I let the boys play outside together and it was wonderful. They are happy and I am happy when we can get out of the house even if it's only to walk out the front door!
Here's my favorite pictures of that day. Enjoy!
It helps if you wear your shoes rather than carrying them around Kyson!
Sorry for the blurry picture, but it was funny!
I love when my boys have play, laugh, and giggle with one another. I was having a rough day with them last week and we went outside to play and it rejuvinated me! They were having a great time together and hearing them laugh settled my nerves and made me feel so grateful for them!

Loving my boys
GUILTY!!!
A while back I came downstairs and found this:
Before I could punish them I had to laugh (to myself:) and take a picture of the looks on their faces when they knew they were guilty!!! I guess every child that finds a marker has to write all over themselves (and their brother) and everything else they see. Oh well...at least they were washable.
Surviving Summer
Although this has been a long summer, (I'm tired of walking outside and instantly breaking out in a sweat!), we survived it by going swimming. Usually we went three times a week. We were lucky to have friends come and join us!
Look at all of these cute boys!
Both Caleb and Kyson really enjoy swimming. They got really good at it since we went quite often.
We went swimming on Friday...maybe for the last time. The water was COLD! I was not disappointed though, I am ready for cooler weather and being able to spend time outside! Now if we can just get the forcast to read below 100 degrees I'll be happy.

Goodbye Grandpa
Last Saturday we went and said "We Love You" goodbyes to Jared's Grandpa Standage. We knew it wouldn't be long before he left us to return home to Heavenly Father and tonight was the night. Although I've only known him for the six years since Jared and I were married, I love him and am so grateful for the example he was to us. Jared and I were blessed to have Grandpa Standage marry us in the Mesa Temple. I know he will always hold a special place in our hearts for that.
Recently Grandpa's health has been deteriorating so he hasn't gotten out much but whenever we had a chance to see him if you said, "It's good to see you Grandpa!" he would reply, "It's good to be seen!" It always made me laugh.
I am so grateful for the pictures that I have of him. This first one is one of my favorites because Grandpa looks so happy in it!
This picture will always be special to me. This is a picture at Kyson's baby blessing with all eight Grandparents and all four grandparents. It was such a special thing to have them all there to support us.
Jared's Grandpa Standage is the first grandparent on either side of our family to pass away. We will all miss him very much. He leaves behind a great legacy and has blessed the lives of so many! We love you Grandpa!

Just call me a Molly Homemaker
In the last two weeks I have been perserving all kinds of food for my family and I am so excited to see it all stored away ready to eat!
Over Labor Day weekend I canned 12 pints of green beans with my Mom (straight out of her garden!).
Last Friday I canned peaches with my sister Christy.
Monday we canned pears together.
Today I canned sweet pork.
I also want to can some spaghetti sauce in the next few days.
I love the pop, pop, pop I've been hearing as the jars seal telling me I've stored away more food for my family! So fun!

Eighteen months old
Kyson turned 18 months old today! You know what that means??? Nursery time! I took him for the first time yesterday at church and he did great. I left for about 30 minutes and when I got back he was happy to see me but was having a great time playing with the toys. I'm so grateful it won't be a fight to have him go. It took Caleb 6 months before he would go without either Jared or me. Now for the first time in over three years I will be able to go to Relief Society and Sunday School and pay attention. Maybe I'll even get some spiritual upliftment!!
Yesterday we were all ready for church about 15 minutes early so I decided to take a few quick pictures. I'm so glad I did because look at these handsome boys!
