A lot has happened in the last couple of days. Kyson has been doing very well and is pretty much down to just the medications I will be giving him at home. Today I will also try to breast feed him for the first time. The doctor informed me this morning that if things continue to go as they have, we will be able to go home either Monday or Tuesday. The only problem we are having is Kyson seems to be having withdrawals from some of the medications. They will monitor him over the next couple of days to make sure this won't be a problem. If he's ok, Monday could be the day.
Although I am very happy to go home and feel so blessed that Kyson has made it through this so well, I am very nervous about how he will do at home. I know I will worry about EVERYTHING he does now. How will I know what is normal and what is not when I don't have a nurse or doctor there to constantly ask questions? Hopefully I've learned enough being here that I can take good care of him and understand what his body needs.
I took this picture just a few minutes ago. He is finally looking like my Kyson again!
This is the first day we got to hold him. It was very exciting but also hard as he was quite fussy and we were so worried that he was in pain. He also still had tubes and other monitoring equipment that made it difficult to really hold him. Each day it gets a little better and I get to hold him just a little closer.

I am SO happy that you get to take your angel home soon!!!!! Yay! I would be nervous too, but you are going to do great!! I bawled my eyes out looking at the picture of you holding Kyson. I'm sure that is a moment you wil never forget. We love you guys so much and cherish your friendship. You are still in our prayers. Take care.
YEA!!! I am so happy to hear that he is doing so good. That is wonderful! It was so good to see you holding him the other night, I can't imagine how good it felt to have him in your arms again. I was planning on coming out and seeing you again next week, hopefully, I will just have to walk across the street to see you!
Yea I am so happy for you. That is the greatest news ever. Seeing you hold him made me cry what a great experience that was for both of you.
Let us know if their is anything that we can do for you before you come home. You are in our prayers.
That is fabulous news!!! I am soo happy that he is such a strong little guy. He obviously has some more work to do. It looks like your bead necklace has grown since the last time I saw you. You should write down what all the beads mean so that you can tell Kyson all about it when he grows up.
That is glorious news! What a beautiful sight those pictures are. We are elated for you and your family. That little guy is definitely meant to be here. Continued prayers and thoughts for your family. We love you guys.
We are so happy to hear how well things are going!
Let me know if I can help you out with ANYthing!
Really :]
Prayers for you to be relaxed and comfortable when you take Kyson home.
It's wonderful to see you and Jared holding Kyson! It gave me goose bumps!! Can't wait to see you guys again! Good luck with everything! Let me know if you need anything at all!
